It's funny ... at work my best dude and I will do a daily Tarot card reading. Some of the ladies around us think me a bit dark for doing so - raised that way surely - and perhaps a touch of a man-witch. Makes me laugh. I do love spiritual matters. Afterlife, nature, developing oneself from within ... righting one's mind ... balance. Accepting that both light and dark is outside and inside and cannot exist without the other. Paranormal investigations. Stuff like that. I've also come to believe and understand that we are in a sense our own deities. Doesn't what we think and encourage ourselves to feel, typically always happen? That dude you like ... oh, well, he doesn't like me or he's a player, so you never talk to him or encourage the development of those feelings in yourself or him and the dude drifts away. Self-prophecy fulfilled. Or I'll always be fat and unhealthy as you pick up another Twinkie. Actions = consequences. But these are often outer representations of the belief system within ... the Source. I am my own Source of light, love, encouragement and validation. What I say about myself is supreme and rises above all other opinions. But what if we weren't taught self-love? We've lived in darkness - not of our own choosing usually but circumstances, parents, rough lives. All good but hard lessons and the raw material for amazing light and love for self and others.
I also am coming to see that the energy we project and the energy of others is at play, too. I don't understand it yet but working in Tarot, understanding that maybe in fact spirits / ghosts / darker things, do exist and if so, do so in a realm of energy makes me want to delve deeper into spiritual work ... like spells! If I create a positive and expressive, in-and-outwordly spell that calls on that energy ... maybe good will come my way and to those I love? Let's give it a try.
Directions: Light a candle and/or stick of incense ... perhaps even some sage if you have it. Set it down. Clear your mind and speak the spell. Imagine white, pure light coming out of you and going back into to you.
Note: As your own Source, the spell ritual is yours for the making. Do what you feel has power. Listen to your instincts.
The Source Spell
Light inside,
Light outside,
Be my guide.
Clear me of negativity,
Clear the road of obstacles.
Show me how to be,
In a world set free.
Tame the Darkness.
Guide me on my path,
Keep me free of wrath.
Bring to me joy and love,
Bring to me joy and love,
Bring to me joy and love.
Bring to those that I love,
A daily dose of the same above.
As the Source ... so it shall be.
