It's that time of year again, mid-June, the glorious time of year when some of my sibs (Shar and Sheld) and a clutch of kiddos aka the next generation (Aaron, Noah, and Holly, plus Kaitlyn) drive way up into the San Juan Mountains. This year we're back at Powderhouse, this charming old af home, with a big green yard, a table for board games, a solid kitchen and plenty of comfy beds.
I was grateful to spend time with Aaron on the way up, learning more about his injuries from his awful bike accident back on New Year's Eve 2021 and his life out of the Navy. Just glad he's here, to get to be his uncle and friend. Noah has grown up so mf much. Kaitlyn will arrive soon, and Shar and Sheld with Holly will make a late appearance.
For now it's chilly mountain air, soft light from a bedside lamp and happiness Colorado exists for me for seven days each year.
Hope you have fun. Miss the beauty that is Silverton. I can feel the coolness through your pics. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Starshine. It's been extra chilly so far.
