I have found myself not taking photos as often now that I'm not using Facebook and Instagram and the like. It's harder to create when the audience isn't so immediate, so quickly affirming. I have to find a deeper reason to try, to create for something else, for someone else ... And I guess that needs be me, or you, if you've stumbled across this post. Hi to you. I wish you well. Today, on this last day of 2024, a mixed bag of a year for sure, I post this new tumbler I got from Starbucks. I know it's not cool or whatever to like big corporations but I like Starbucks. I like the warm place they give me to write. I like the friendly youthful staff doing their darndest to sling caffeine. I like even collecting these overpriced tumblers. Here's my latest, a clear one with a green straw, like the standard plastic cup. I like the way the purple from my computer monitor shines through the plastic, refracting, making a kind of oily rainbow.
