Got to visit my old Melrose area neighborhood last night to celebrate the birth of my friend, Tera, with her wife, Vanessa, plus their family and friends. We met and ate at Phoenix Coqui, a Puerto Rican restaurant (the owners are a gay couple who met whilst on vacation). The shredded pork on top of this thicc plantain cake I ordered was delicious. They also had this creamy sauce for dipping. All was devoured happily.
