I got a chance to do a Secret Cinema night at Harkins and was excited to discover the film would be Robbie Williams's "Better Man", his sensational bio pic con musical. Starting with his childhood, his absentee dad, and a whirlwind into fame at such a young age, the film held me close and pushed me away to only bring me closer again. Watching Robbie destroy himself, fighting himself endlessly, and then redeem himself is a catharsis. A painting of grief made of sound and images. The music is phenomenal and turning himself into a literal animal was a brilliant choice.
