@ the Movies: "The Last Showgirl"

Pamela Anderson gives a performance that's tender and raw. Playing Shelly, an aging showgirl in a Las Vegas show about to close, we watch her struggle to accept her life's choices and what her next steps in will be. Jamie Lee Curtis offers up an equally raw and mesmerizing performance as a gambling addict and aging cocktail waitress, friend to Shelly. I love Hollywood is telling stories of humans beyond 40 and what really is beautiful. This script could have used some work, however, doing the indie vignette deal where it's these "life" moments versus a real thought out story arc. Having a character walk around a dirty parking lot is not a plot point. But still, Pamela dazzles, and Jamie Lee razzles, I dare say.
